Voters in Edmonton-Whitemud last went to the polls in October 2014, newly-appointed Health Minister and former mayor Stephen Mandel won the southwest riding which was triggered by the resignation of long-time PC MLA Dave Hancock.
Mandel is running for the Tories in this riding that has mostly been held by Tories since it was created in 1971.
