Piya Chattopadhyay hosts Q from March 23 - April 3

As our new permanent host Shad prepares for his April 20 debut, seasoned guest host Piya Chattopadhyay jumps into the host chair from March 23 to April 3.
Piya has been described as the Swiss Army knife or "supply teacher" of public broadcasting in Canada. She can be regularly heard on CBC radio hosting a variety of programs including The Current, The World at Six and Toronto's Metro Morning. Piya is also the summer and regular guest host of TVO's The Agenda.
Piya is also an experienced journalist with nearly 20 years of experience. She has reported on a wide-range of issues from politics in the Middle East, Afghanistan and Sri Lanka to health, education, social issues and culture in Canada and around the world.
Piya has worked for various news outlets in Canada and abroad. She was a Middle East Correspondent for Fox News Radio based in Jerusalem from 2006 to 2009.
Piya also helps grow three humans -- toddler twin boys and a young daughter. She is married to fellow CBC reporter, Peter Armstrong. You can follow Piya on Twitter @Piya.
