According to his girlfriend at the time, Bain wasn't supposed to be there but had stopped by to help out the owners who were in the process of selling the pub.
Police believed at the time that it was a botched robbery, as Bain had no connections to criminal activity.
The prosecutor says Ledesma's DNA was found on a gun that is believed to be the murder weapon.
The Crown also told the jury during the trial that Ledesma was caught in what is called a "Mr. Big" undercover operation where he confessed twice to police that he killed Bain.
A second-degree murder conviction comes with an automatic life sentence with no chance of parole for at least 10 years.
There was no recommendations from the jury about parole eligibility.
A sentencing date has not yet been set.
