Muslim families across Canada have been opening their doors to non-Muslim families as part of the Meet a Muslim Campaign to help them gain a better understanding of Islam.
CBC’s Leah Laroque joined the Monsoor and Angus families in Edmonton as they shared a meal.
After recent terror threats to the West Edmonton Mall, Nudrat Monsoor wanted to show people what she calls the "true side of Islam."
While it was the first time the two families have met, both say they will meet again.
