RCMP in Natuashish say the aerial search for missing teen James Poker, 17, has been suspended due to weather.
Police said a blizzard is being forecasted, and blowing snow conditions are being experienced in the area.
In consultation with family and local First Nations government leaders, it was decided that the search for Poker would be scaled back.
Police said ground search efforts within the community will continue.
Members of the RCMP, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, as well as ground search and rescue teams, family and members of the communities of Natuashish, Nain and Hopedale have been searching for Poker since Monday.
He was last seen on Sunday.
