Tired of crying about the weather? Here's your chance to laugh out loud.
Local jokers will be joined by comedians from across Canada this spring at the 2015 Winnipeg Comedy Festival.
The festival will showcase some of Canada’s most talented and cheeky humorists. This year's festival is wine-themed, said artistic director Al Rae.
"Like a great vineyard, we have something for every taste and price range, so drink up the comedy — I'm sure you'll be thirsty for more," said Rae.
New to the festival this year comes the Comedy Festival Awards and the CBC Manitoba-sponsored "People's Choice Award." Audiences will vote for their favourite laugh-master of the fest and votes will be tallied ahead of the April 12 award show.
Among the many events scheduled for the festival, CBC’s The Debaters will descend on Winnipeg. And Shaun Majumder of This Hour has 22 Minutes-fame is hosting a show at the Pantages Playhouse titled "Too Much Information."
The festival runs April 6 to 12(external link).
