Drake sets new Spotify record with his new surprise album, If You're Reading This It's Too Late

Toronto rapper's 4th album breaks record for most streams in debut week
Drake's surprise album If You're Reading This It's Too Late, is already breaking records, not even a week after its release.
Spotify said Tuesday that the 28-year-old rapper’s new album has set the record for most streams from an album in its debut week in the U.S.
The music sharing site says the album was streamed more than 17.3 million times in three days.
The 17-track record features a heart-felt ode to his mother titled You & The Six, as well as features with Lil-Wayne and Travis $cott.
The Toronto rapper also broke his own previously held record.
Drake's 2013 album, Nothing Was the Same, held the title for most streams in a debut week with 15.8 million.
The new album also set a record for most streams in a single day for an album in the U.S. with 6.8 million streams on Valentine’s Day.
If You're Reading This It's Too Late was released late last Thursday to the surprise of fans. A similar move by Grammy-winning singer Beyoncé, who released her self-titled album in December 2013 with no hint it was coming.
Billboard projects that the album will sell about 500,000 units in its first week.
