Grateful Haligonians are offering an outpouring of support to Halifax Regional Police and the RCMP after an alleged plot for a mass killing at the Halifax Shopping Centre was stopped on Friday.
"On behalf of the provincial government and all Nova Scotians, I want to reiterate my sincere appreciation and gratitude to the law–enforcement professionals who prevented a terrible crime from being committed in our capital city," said Premier Stephen McNeil in a statement.
It's a feeling that has been reiterated online with hundreds of tweets and messages of thanks.
