A Winnipeg high school hopes to raise $1 million for a new community active living centre.
Students, staff and alumni were joined by federal, provincial and city politicians for the campaign "tip-off" on Thursday.
The provincial government announced funding for the gymnasium in April 2014, but the school and community want to expand the addition to include a track and the active living centre.
