John Kenneth Galbraith focuses on the economics and politics of the developing countries.

Galbraith believes the really important split in the world is not between the western democracies and the communist countries but between the rich nations and the poor nations, and it is the problem of the poor nations to which Professor Galbraith turns his attention in these lectures.

The original publication of The Underdeveloped Country is out of print. The complete lectures can be found in The Lost Massey Lectures published by House of Anansi(external link).
