Health officials in the Lanaudière say they may be dealing with a measles outbreak.
Eight patients have been placed under observation for signs of the infection since the beginning of January.
All eight of the patients have been tested, but results from those tests are not expected until next week.
Rash, fever and a runny nose are all common symptoms of the measles.
Lanaudière health officials say that although measles are contagious, people who were vaccinated are protected.
