Shooting in northeast Calgary puts 1 man in hospital

Police are investigating, say they have no suspects at this time.

One man is in hospital after a shooting Saturday night in northeast Calgary.
Police were called to the scene in the 5300 block of Rundlehorn Drive N.E. last night around 8 p.m. MT.
A witness at the scene told CBC News she was getting gas when she heard a shot and saw a man drop to his knees.
She then saw a truck drive off, firing three more shots as it left the scene.
The man was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition but has since been upgraded to serious.
The witness says this isn't the first shooting she's been a witness to on that street and she fears for the safety of her family.
"It’s happened too much, it’s scary, it’s too close to home," said Kristen, who declined to give her last name.
"I don’t know what’s happening but something’s out of control and something needs to be done because it’s becoming too frequent, it’s becoming the norm and it’s not normal. It’s just not normal."
Police are investigating and say they have no suspects at this time.
