Jon Stewart and Maziar Bahari on the true story behind Rosewater

In an interview taped live during the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival, Jian sits down with satirist-turned-director Jon Stewart, as well as Iranian-Canadian journalist Maziar Bahari.
The Daily Show host shares why he felt compelled to take a break from comedy to direct Rosewater, a film based on Bahari's book about his five-month imprisonment in Iran. Bahari's appearance on Stewart's show was used as evidence against him in Tehran, a fact that weighed heavily on the normally buoyant comedian.
