Nova Scotia RCMP ask for public's help in New Brunswick shooting

RCMP are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or was in the area

Nova Scotia RCMP are asking for the public’s help as part of its investigation into a shooting that involved police in Bathurst, New Brunswick.
On Monday, a 51-year-old man was shot and killed by police near the Via Rail station in the northern New Brunswick city at about 11:25 a.m.
The man, from Tracadie, was fatally wounded by police "as part of an ongoing investigation," RCMP Sgt. Alain LeBlanc said in a statement on Tuesday afternoon.
Investigators are looking to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or was in the area at the time. Citizens are asked to call (506) 548-6835.
The Bathurst Police Force asked the Nova Scotia RCMP to investigate the case. The investigation is continuing.
