Thomas Pynchon leads an incredibly private life. The author of post-modern literature including cult classics V and The Crying of Lot 49 has rarely been photographed. And he refuses almost all interviews. That's why there's so much buzz this week about the movie he's rumoured to make a cameo in. The film is called Inherent Vice, and it's the first film adaptation of a Pynchon novel.
