When people enter a corn maze, they expect to get pleasantly disoriented. But when people enter Matt Cooley's corn maze -- the biggest one in the world -- some of them freak right out, and call 9-1-1.
According to the Guinness World Records people, the giant corn maze at Cool Patch Pumpkins in Dixon, California is the largest on the planet.

There's a seemingly infinite number of ways to get lost, and lately, folks seem to be finding them. The local emergency 9-1-1 dispatch has been receiving numerous calls from hapless wanderers who've been swallowed up by it, and can't find their way out.

Matt Cooley, owner of the maze, tells As It Happens host, Carol off, that the police used to show up to respond to the calls, but not anymore. As for those lost inside, "they end up coming out. There's nobody's ever been in there forever."
