TIMELINE: A look at NDP leadership candidate Theresa Oswald's political career

Then and now: The roles Oswald has played in Manitoba politics between 2003 and 2014

Between becoming an MLA for the first time in 2003 to registering to run for the NDP leadership on Dec. 19, Theresa Oswald has worn a number of hats in Manitoba politics.
But even before becoming an MLA, Oswald taught English for 11 years at Glenlawn Collegiate in Winnipeg and served as vice-principal at another school in the Louis Riel School Division.
Following her first election, she spent one year as the premier's legislative assistant and in 2005 she chaired the Healthy Kids, Healthy Futures Task Force, an initiative created by then-Manitoba Premier Gary Doer.
Here is a look at the experience Oswald collected over 11 years leading up to the March 2015 NDP leadership race.
