Two men have been arrested in connection with the slaying of a Calgary man eight years ago.
The body of Wayman Cornell Scott, 32, was found in December 2006 in a field near a rural road by Conrich, which is just east of Calgary.
An investigation revealed he had been shot at a Calgary residence and then dumped outside the city.
Two Calgary men were arrested in Ontario and will be brought to the city for a court appearance on Dec. 17, police said.
A 28-year-old man has been charged with first-degree murder and a 29-year-old man with manslaughter and accessory after the fact.
The arrests came after a joint investigation by RCMP and Calgary police uncovered new evidence in the case.
Police are asking anyone with information about the case to call the Calgary RCMP major crimes unit at 403-699-2640 or to contact Crime Stoppers(external link).
