Harbans Pandher has been charged with the second-degree murder of his wife, 64-year-old Jaswant Pandher, after she was found dead at a home in Surrey, B.C., on Sunday afternoon.
According to an earlier press release issued by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team, police were called to the home in the 6900 block of 152 Street at 1 p.m. PT.
Jaswant Pandher was found dead at the scene and police say her injuries were consistent with foul play. Her husband, who is also in his 60s, was arrested at the scene and is being held in police custody.
In the press release, Staff Sgt. Jennifer Pound said "evidence thus far suggests this to be domestic related."
