After six months of fundraising, a skateboarding park in Montague is open for area youth.
Residents in the community formed a committee called Just Being Kids to build better places for young people to hang out.
The inspiration was the tragic death of three boys from area in a fire back in March.
Brandon McKinnon, Kenneth Irving and Joseph Alison Reeves died in after a fire in an abandoned building in Charlottetown.
That inspired 16-year-old Lydia Acorn to make a place for her peers to go.
