New mayors elected in Wellesley, North Dumfries

There are new mayors in Wellesley and North Dumfries townships, while the incumbent in the township of Wilmot was re-relected.
The township of Wilmot has re-elected Les Armstrong as mayor, with 3,382 votes, according to unofficial results on the township's website. His only opponent, Terry Broda of New Hamburg, received 2,649 votes.
The township of Wellesley have elected Joe Nowak with 1,301 votes, according to unofficial results on the township's website. Candidate Jim Olender finished second with 516 votes, and Paul Hergott finished third with 478 votes. Nowak succeeds Ross Kelterborn, who did not run for re-election.
Sue Foxton has won the mayoral race for the township of North Dumfries with 1,288 votes, according to unofficial election results on the township's website. Kim Denouden finished in second place with 961 votes and John Holman received third place with 788 votes. Foxton succeeds Robert Deutschmann, who did not run for re-election.
