Saskatoon bus riders want better service after lockout

Challenges city to improve frequence, reliability

A group speaking for Saskatoon bus riders says ending the transit lockout is a good first step – but now the real work begins.
It's calling on the city to improve the service.
"Bus riding should be easy," said Sarina Gersher of Bus Riders of Saskatoon.
"It should be frequent and reliable."
The group wants intervals shortened with buses arriving every 15 minutes, not at the current half hour and hourly pace.
And it wants the connections tightened so that the transition from route to route happens on time.
It's doing a flyer blitz Friday between noon and 1 p.m. CST at the downtown terminal.
