Man shot by officer still in critical condition in hospital
A Redcliff man shot by RCMP has now been charged with possessing a weapon and assault on a peace officer.
The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) says the man pulled a BB gun on officers early Monday morning prompting an officer to shoot him.
Investigators responded to the scene and seized a black Smith and Wesson 177 calibre BB gun.
The 33-year-old remains in hospital in critical-but-stable condition hospital, meanwhile a court appearance has yet to be determined.
The ASIRT investigation continues.
