Candidates for Rideau-Rockcliffe ward make their pitch to voters
From Sept. 22 to Oct. 23, CBC Ottawa will visit the 23 electoral wards in the city of Ottawa to get the inside track on the issues people are talking about on the eve of the upcoming municipal election.
Rideau-Rockcliffe Ward is an east end ward that includes Manor Park, New Edinburgh, Cummings, CFB Rockcliffe, Overbrook and the surrounding neighbourhoods. The ward extends as far east as Blair Road, as far west as the Rideau River and as far south as Highway 417.

The CBC Street Talk team, along with CBC host Adrian Harewood, was in the ward on October 10 to hear directly from you, the voters. We asked: What would make your neighbourhood a better place to live.
Peter Clark, the 76-year-old incumbent, is running again. Clark was the mayor of the Township of Cumberland from 1980 to 1989 and the chair of the pre-amalgamation regional municipality of Ottawa-Carleton from 1991 to 1997.
CBC Ottawa asked all the candidates running for city council to record a one-minute pitch and tell voters why they think they're the best candidate for their ward. The pitches below are from those who participated in this project.
