Members of city council also got a soaking to raise awareness about disease
Regina mayor Michael Fougere and members of council got a good soaking Monday after partipating in the ALS ice bucket challenge.
The challenge is to raise money and awareness about the neurolgical disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
Rather than get buckets for all council members, members of the Regina fire department doused them all at the same time with a fire hose.
But Fougere got a double dousing — a bucket of icy water was thrown on him first.
