A Hamilton man tried to run from police with 30 boxes of stolen shaving razors stuffed down the front of his pants in a brazen mid-afternoon Wal-Mart theft.
The Tuesday theft was spotted and recorded in progress by security cameras. Hamilton Police say they were called in at approximately 1:30 p.m. and arrived to greet the man at the door as he left, packing some $700 in Gillette razors in the front of his pants, without making any attempt to pay for the goods.
When approached by police, the man ran with his pants stuffed with the razors as well as Kinder Egg full of marijuana, "on his person" which police would later find upon arrest.
The 31-year-old had outstanding warrants for his arrest on what police called "similar charges." His latest shopping spree cost him four charges, including theft, possession and failing to comply with a probation officer.
