Saskatoon's chief of police locked the door behind him at the city's old police station Wednesday morning before joining a parade to their new headquarters.
Chief Clive Weighill and police officers marched down Saskatoon streets, from 4th Avenue North, for the grand opening of their new building, on 25th Street East.
People were invited to watch the parade and ceremonies. However, building tours — for the public — will not be available because of ongoing moves. Tours will be announced for a later date.
The parade route will mean traffic restrictions for 25th Street East, starting at 8 a.m. Wednesday until about noon.
