Fewer than 400 properties now awaiting pipes to thaw
As the temperature heats up in Winnipeg, the number of homes with frozen pipes is dropping.
The city's website said Saturday 392 addresses are waiting for city crews to thaw out their pipes.
That's down more than one hundred in just the last few days.
Over the course of the last few months, the city has restored water service to 2,195 addresses.
The pipes at Chocolatier Constance Popp's shop have been frozen for 79 days.
Yet, the soaring temperature Saturday was melting her delicate white chocolate flowers.
"I'm almost in denial because we're selling ice cream and ice coffee and ice things that are cold and yet our pipes are still not thawed," she said.
