Matthew Sudds murder leads to 2 arrests

Man, 29, and woman, 23, now being questioned

Halifax police have two people in custody in connection with the death of Matthew Thomas Sudds last fall.
A passerby found the 24-year-old man's body in a ditch halfway between the Africville Museum and the Fairview Cove container terminal last October. The case was declared a homicide soon after.
Police say he was shot to death.
On Friday, officers arrested a 29-year-old Halifax man in the city and a 23-year-old woman in Ontario.
They are in custody and are being interviewed.
There are no charges yet.
Investigators have said Sudds was last seen by friends on Oct. 10. They believe Sudds was shot to death later that same day. His body was found four days later.
In 2012, Sudds was on the most-wanted list for the Halifax Regional Police, for assault and failing to comply with conditions.
