Guelph, Waterloo, Woodstock drug ring broken up by police

9 people have been arrested in an investigation dubbed "Project Vegas"

Nine people have been arrested by police forces in Guelph, Waterloo and Woodstock in a series of drug raids Wednesday, netting police $100,000 worth of cocaine, $4,000 worth of marijuana, a 2005 Honda Civic and a large quantity of cash.
Nine people in their late 20s and late 30s are awaiting trial on a litany of drug charges, including trafficking and possession.
Police said Friday the seizures are the result of months of investigation, dubbed "Project Vegas."
Investigators plan to display the items taken during the raids at a news conference at 1 p.m. Friday in Guelph.
