RCMP investigate death of woman found in frigid temperatures in Manitoba snowbank
RCMP believe freezing temperatures played a role in a 20-year-old woman’s death.
The woman was found in a snowbank at the Portage la Prairie Recycling Depot just after 8 a.m. on Sunday.
Paramedics began CPR on the woman and rushed her to the Portage General Hospital, but she later died.
RCMP will not be releasing the woman’s identity but did say she was from Poplar Bay, Portage la Prairie, Man.
A post-mortem has been scheduled in Winnipeg to determine what caused the woman’s death. RCMP do not believe foul play was a factor.
