An 85-year-old woman from Calgary has been killed in a car accident in British Columbia.
Gayle Ashforth died near Merritt on Wednesday, according to the BC Coroners Service(external link).
She was the front-seat passenger in an SUV when the vehicle collided with a forestry chip truck on the Coquihalla Highway.
Road conditions were icy at the time, according to RCMP.
