People in Saskatchewan are being advised to bundle up this weekend with Environment Canada setting windchill warnings for the entire province.

Northwest winds will make it feel like -40 C to -45 C with the wind chill across Southern Saskatchewan including Regina, Moose Jaw, Gravelbourg and Estevan.

According to Environment Canada the coldest wind chills are expected on Sunday morning where values will reach as cold as -50 C, which will last until Monday afternoon.

In the northern part of the province it's expected to get even colder. Wind chill values are expected to be between -45 C and -55 C over the weekend.

People are being reminded in these extreme weather conditions exposed skin can get frostbite in minutes.
