Calgary's Centre Street Bridge is being used as the backdrop for a big-budget Hollywood movie. Exit Wounds, starring Steven Seagal, is filming its opening sequences on the bridge.
The scene, which is expected to take a week to shoot, contains a couple of helicopters, a motorcade and many police cars.
Karen Pidgurski, a publicist for the film company, Warner Bros., says Calgarians in the area should expect a lot of explosions and gunfire over the next couple of days.
Exit Wounds is scheduled to open during the summer of 2001.
The Centre Street Bridge, which has been closed for renovations for most of a year, will make its premiere for Calgary commuters on Sept. 23.
