Man had broken into power facility in southeast Calgary
Officials are investigating after a man was found electrocuted early Wednesday morning at an electricity substation.
A man broke into an Enmax substation in southeast Calgary at about 3 a.m. MT, police said.
He was dead when emergency responders arrived.
A set of bolt cutters was found beside his body.
"We're not sure what his exact motives were. We have had incidences in the past of people trying to steal copper wire and we don't know if that's the case here,” said Duty Insp. Michael Wattesrston.
Officers are waiting for the medical examiner to help with the investigation, Watterston said.
