Province tearing down playgrounds

The province is demolishing unsafe playgrounds at schools across the province, but is not willing to replace them.
Some parents said Wednesday they can't afford to replace them.
"We would have to spend ten years to raise money for a playground, I understand they cost anywhere from $45-80,000 to put in," Katheryne Blackett of Parent Council, said.
"The ministry has to find the bucks to pay for this, particularly in the inner city with paved parking lots and few sandboxes for kids to play in," Marilyn Churley, NDP Environment Critic, said Wednesday.
