Senator Mike Duffy rose again in the Senate Monday to give a dramatic speech in which he alleged the prime minister's former chief of staff arranged for not one but two cheques to help repay his expenses, while also implicating a Conservative Party lawyer.
Duffy also alleged that the Prime Minister's Office orchestrated the handling of the controversy, right down to providing him a script of what to say.
Duffy tabled several documents, including copies of the second cheque and an email from Prime Minister Stephen Harper's former chief of staff, Nigel Wright, assuring him his expenses were in order.
