A northern Saskatchewan search and rescue team is again looking for a missing Manitoba boy. Eight year-old Marcus McKay disappeared during a hunting trip six weeks ago.
Corporal John Brossart of the RCMP doesn't think fresh tracks in the area belong to the boy.
"The probability of Marcus still being alive has come and gone a long time ago," he says. "And we've certainly experienced weather conditions since Marcus went missing that would make it extremely difficult, even for an experienced woodsman, to survive this long."
However, family members reported seeing remnants of a partially-eaten rabbit in the woods. This convinced the highly-respected KOSAR search and rescue team from La Ronge to undertake its own search. Its leader thinks it's possible the boy may have gone on his own adventure quest, and doesn't want to be found.
