A New Brunwick doctor accused of sexually abusing his patients no longer has a license.
Dr. Kwabena Akuffo-Akoto left Canada after allegations from several patients. He turned up in England and lost his license there after a hearing.
Last December, four women from New Brunwick went to London to testify about Dr. Akuffo-Akoto before the country's general medical council. The council found the psychiatrist guilty of professional misconduct and revoked his license to practise medicine in England.
The New Brunswick College of Physicians and Surgeons met last Friday and used the British ruling as the basis of cancelling the doctor's license in the Maritimes.
