Officers seize methamphetamine worth over $1.18M in northeast raid
Calgary police say they've made the largest methamphetamine bust in the city's history.
More than $1.18 million worth of crystal meth was seized when officers searched two vehicles on Sept. 11 in a northeast Calgary parking lot.
A 38-year-old man and a 59-year-old man were arrested in the operation, which was the culmination of an investigation that began in July.
Officers also found almost 1,300 grams of cocaine, 15 grams of crack cocaine as well as a loaded handgun and police-style radios.
The suspects have been charged with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and one count of possession of proceeds of crime.
More drug and weapons charges could be laid, police said.
