A long-awaited audit into a controversial land swap involving Winnipeg fire halls has been delayed once again.

The city ordered the review after CBC News found three city properties were swapped for a piece of land on Taylor Avenue. The deal, however, didn't follow proper procedures and was never approved by city council.
The fallout from the transaction resulted in the city operating a brand new fire hall on land it still doesn't own.
The auditor for the City of Winnipeg now says the external review of what happened should be completed and in the hands of politicians in early October.
