Some companies in Vancouver are offering freebies and incentives to their employees who bike to work.
ING Direct buys the bicycles for its workers and offers a free gym membership so cyclists can take a shower when they get into the office.
"To be able to provide people with the opportunity to cycle to and from work for errands or any other reason it's great to be able to help with that," said ING marketing manager, Meena Sandhu.
"And if you can eliminate your workout in the day, get your commute in and your exercise, it's great."
