Some of Edmonton’s aging coin-operated meters are being replaced with high-tech $12,000 machines.

As CBC’s Kristina Partsinevelos found out, most Edmontonians who gave the new machines a try seemed to take to the new machines just fine.

The only downfall is the new machines prevent drivers from benefiting from any extra time left on the meter by a previous user.
