More than 100 cows died in a barn fire in the Rural Municipality of Ste. Anne in southern Manitoba on Saturday.
RCMP said the fire was discovered shortly before 9:30 a.m., and fire crews were unable to extinguish it. The barn was a total loss.
Some of the livestock were saved, but 103 milking cattle died in the blaze, according to police.
No people were injured in the fire.
Manitoba's office of the fire commissioner is now investigating what may have caused the blaze.
