As a passionate lifelong North Ender, Winnipeg MLA Kevin Chief has sometimes fought against the negative perception of the community.
But last week, the provincial minister of children and youth opportunities went through the type of ordeal that has contributed to that reputation.
He was the victim of a vicious attack at the hands of four people as he jogged across the Slaw Rebchuk B(external link)ridge on Feb. 24.
