Police are looking for two suspects in connection with the theft of a truck from a Stoney Creek meatpacking facility.
On Saturday at about 1 p.m, witnesses spied two men checking out a trailer parked on a lot near Jones Road and South Service Road in Stoney Creek. The trailer contained about $100,000 worth of meat products, according to police.
When they realized they were being watched, the suspects climbed into a transport truck and fled the scene without the trailer in tow.
They drove the truck eastbound along the QEW and then abandoned it on the side of a road. A car came to pick to them up, police said.
The suspects are described as white males in their 20s or 30s.
Division Two detectives continue to investigate.
