Paramedics said a 56-year-old woman was riding her bicycle Tuesday when she was struck by the truck near a bike path along Riverside just after 6 p.m.
Firefighters began CPR and paramedics took over life-support measures, but they could not revive the woman.
Bank Street was closed between Riverdale Avenue and Billings Bridge for several hours.
Police, who continue to investigate, said the intersection is difficult due to blind spots for drivers.
