B.C.'s 'prince of pot' is serving a five-year sentence for conspiracy to manufacture marijuana
B.C.'s 'Prince of Pot' Marc Emery has been approved for transfer back to Canada by the U.S. government, according to his wife Jodie, and it is now up the Canadian government to approve his return.
The B.C. pot advocate was sentenced to five years in jail in 2010 for conspiracy to manufacture marijuana after his Vancouver-based mail order business was busted in a joint operation involving U.S. and Canadian law enforcement agencies in 2005.
Emery's last request to be moved to a Canadian prison was rejected in 2011.
