Ontario craft beers have experienced a surge in sales, rising 33 per cent over the previous fiscal year, and several Ottawa breweries are contributing to that.
In the video above, watch the CBC's Sandra Abma describe how breweries such as Big Rig, Kichesippi and Hog's Back are making a name for themselves in the province and beyond.
The Liquor Control Board of Ontario also said it was the expansion of its store network and "operational efficiencies" that drove the positive sale results(external link).
The LCBO opened 12 new stores, relocated 16 and made significant upgrades to another two. It estimates these improvements earned it an extra $30.5 million in sales.
