RCMP are investigating a suspicious death on Borgels Point Road in Chester Basin, N.S.

A 57-year-old woman has died but she has not been identified.

Emergency services responded to a call about a sudden death at about 9 a.m. Friday, RCMP said in a release.

After paramedics arrived, they called in the RCMP.

Members of the RCMP Major Crime Unit, who are working on the case, were interviewing witnesses on Friday afternoon

RCMP haven't identified the woman.

The name Buckley is on the mail box, but according to online property records, the home has been owned by Victoria Brauns since 1989.
